To strengthen our team in Kockelscheuer, we are looking for an immediate or mutually agreed start for a:
Experienced Accountant / Internal Auditor [m/f/d]
Your tasks
- Review of current accounting records
- Year-end closing entries
- Preparation of annual financial statements
- Preparation of tax and VAT returns, as well as EC Sales Lists for intra-European deliveries and services
- Independent handling of balance sheet accounting
- Preparation and reporting of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including reconciliations
- Evaluation and interpretation of financial figures to support planning and control decisions
- Acting as the management’s contact person for all accounting matters and operational controlling issues
- Performing internal audits
- Reconciliation of general ledger, customer, and supplier accounts
- Acting as contact person both internally and externally for accounting matters related to customers and suppliers
- Development and improvement of accounting procedures within the company
- Liaising with external service providers (auditors, tax advisors, etc.)
Your profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics with a specialization in accounting, finance, or controlling, or a recognized qualification as a “Certified Accountant”
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience as an accountant in a similar position or as an assistant/senior auditor
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Independent, structured, and goal-oriented working style
- Excellent communication, persuasion, and interpersonal skills
- Good command of German and French; knowledge of Luxembourgish and English is considered an asset
