"If one link in the chain doesn’t work, it affects the entire process."

How did you join Losch Luxembourg?

At the time, I was unhappy in my previous job. Through someone I knew who was already working at Losch, I heard about an open position. I came to have a look at the company and, within a few days, everything fell into place.

What makes working at Losch Luxembourg attractive?

The size of the company and, as a result, its stability and structured working environment. There are also opportunities for development. Over the years, I have been able to attend various training courses.

How would you describe your role today?

Today, I mainly work in the administrative area. I take care of parts supply for the workshop as well as for vehicle sales.

This includes internal requests, orders and customer enquiries.

What does a typical working day look like for you?

I receive requests through the internal system. The workshop or Service Advisors specify which parts are needed, and I make sure they are provided or ordered. I also handle emails and coordinate various requests.

What are the biggest challenges?

Communication. We work with many different people, languages and requirements. That is why it is important to understand exactly what is needed.

Is your profession often underestimated?

Yes. Many people think it is simply about collecting parts and passing them on. In reality, there is a lot of organisation and technical knowledge involved.

Which skills are important?

Organisation and a structured way of working are essential. You should be able to work independently, stay focused and have an interest in vehicles.

Is the job varied?

Yes. In addition to parts logistics, there are also administrative tasks and a lot of coordination with different departments.

What role does teamwork play?

Teamwork is very important. What works particularly well is the way people work together, regardless of their position. Whether apprentice or manager, everyone works together. The Parts Department is at the centre of many processes. If communication does not work, problems arise.

What motivates you in your day-to-day work?

When everything works smoothly and a vehicle is completed on time. It is a good feeling to know that you have contributed to that.

What makes working at Losch Luxembourg attractive?

The size of the company and the opportunities that come with it. There is stability, room for development and a structured working environment.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to learn this profession?

You should make sure you are well informed. The job is more complex than people think. You need interest and motivation to learn the role properly.

What is the most important thing in your profession?

Reliability and organisation. If one link in the chain doesn’t work, it affects the entire process.
