A day with…
Sebastian, New Car Sales Consultant at Garage M. Losch Bonnevoie

Sebastian has been working as a new car sales consultant at Garage M. Losch Bonnevoie since 2017. He supports customers throughout their journey towards a new vehicle. Between consultations, test drives, personalised advice and vehicle handovers, no two working days are quite the same.

“Seeing the joy on customers’ faces when they receive their vehicle is a huge source of motivation.”

How did you come to Losch Luxembourg?

Sebastian already knew Losch Luxembourg well before applying. He has been interested in cars since childhood and grew up in the border region, where the company, its brands and its long history are highly visible. When he looked more closely at Losch, the development opportunities and the company’s success story particularly appealed to him.

What does a typical working day look like for you?

There is not really such a thing as a typical day. Sebastian starts by organising his schedule around customer priorities and the team’s workflow. Consultations, test drives, vehicle configurations, administrative tasks and handovers all form part of the job, with new people and new situations every day.

What would you advise someone who wants to enter this profession?

It is a good fit for people who enjoy working with others, are enthusiastic about cars and do not want a conventional office routine. At the same time, the role comes with responsibility: a sales consultant represents both the company and the brand.

Which skills are particularly important?

Communication, empathy and reliability are essential. Listening carefully is just as important in order to understand what customers really want and need. Good organisation, teamwork and an interest in new technologies are also part of the job.

What is the biggest challenge in your profession?

Every customer has different expectations, so the approach has to be adapted each time. Sebastian sees that variety not only as a challenge, but also as one of the things that keeps the job interesting.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

The vehicle handover is the moment Sebastian enjoys most. Whether it is someone’s first car, a family vehicle, a company car or a California for a future road trip, every purchase has a personal story behind it. Returning customers and recommendations are especially rewarding because they show that the advice and support were appreciated.

How important is the team to you?

Very important. Colleagues support one another and work towards the same goal: giving customers the best possible experience. Sebastian describes the collaboration as open, respectful and based on mutual trust.

What makes working at Losch Luxembourg particularly attractive?

Sebastian values being able to be himself and being treated as a person. He also appreciates working with strong brands and modern technologies, as well as having many opportunities to develop both professionally and personally.

Are there any misconceptions about your profession?

Many people still assume that a salesperson simply wants to sell something. In practice, Sebastian sees the role primarily as listening, giving honest advice and finding the solution that best fits the customer.

What is the most important thing in your profession?

Trust. When a consultant genuinely believes in the brand and the products, customers can sense it. Real enthusiasm cannot be faked, and that authenticity makes a meaningful difference in the relationship with the customer.
